About me
My name is Zoe Carona, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of clinical experience. I have had the privilege of working with adults from young adulthood through senior citizens in hospital, community mental health and private practice settings. I have provided support to individuals facing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, trauma, maternal mental health/perinatal concerns, depression, grief and life transitions.
My Approach
I know how overwhelming it can feel to take care of everyone else while trying to find space for yourself. That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to creating an informal, warm, space where you can prioritize your well-being, find balance, and regain confidence in yourself. I believe a strong therapist-client relationship is key to success in therapy, and I strive to bring a compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental approach to every session to allow you to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
I provide an individualized approach, tailoring my methods to meet your unique needs. I utilize multiple modalities in my work, including EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), psychodynamic approaches, polyvagal theory and CBT. I believe in a mind-body approach to healing, recognizing the deep connection between our thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being. As such, I utilize techniques to help calm your nervous system and that promote connection.
